Giving to our local foodbanks
The coronavirus pandemic has triggered an unprecedented rise in foodbank use as the economy was hit and a number of household incomes plunged. The UK’s foodbanks have reported it being their busiest period ever.
Foodbanks rely on goodwill and support. As a company we are very empathetic to families in need and have dedicated our October to helping those around our nurseries who are in crisis.
We have asked the children to bring in an item(s) to donate to their local foodbank. Posters and parent communication have been shared along with a list of critical items for their particular area.
Any donations we receive throughout October will be matched by Little Garden Day Nurseries and delivered to the local foodbanks in November – it’s the least we can do in these fragile, uncertain times.
